High Voltage Side
The high-voltage side of the smart integrated substation generally uses load switch-fuse combination electrical protection. After the fuse of one phase is blown, the three phases are interlocked and tripped. Load switches are available in various types such as pressure type, vacuum, and sulfur hexafluoride, with optional electric operating mechanisms for automation upgrades. The fuse is a high-voltage current-limiting fuse with an impactor, reliable action, and large breaking capacity.
Low Voltage Side
The main switch on the low-voltage side uses a universal or smart circuit breaker with selective protection. The outgoing switch uses a new type of plastic-enclosed switch, which is compact and has a short arc duration, with up to 30 circuits. An intelligent automatic tracking reactive power compensation device is available, with options for contactor and contactless switching.
